Note: 2019 is the last year with official global poverty estimates. Projected data utilizes distribution-sensitive projections for 2020 using estimates from Mahler ⓡ Yonzan ⓡ Lakner (2022) , distribution-neutral projections for years 2021 to 2024 using June 2022 GEP, and each country’s distribution-neutral historical growth for the period 2010-19 for the years 2025 to 2030. Official poverty estimates are available for all regions up to 2019, and for the Middle East & North Africa up to 2018. Regions are categorized using PIP definition.
